WEST FALMOUTH.

Mrs. Olive Eldred Baker, a native of this place, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.F. Lincoln, in Falmouth, Oct. 6, was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Sylvia Crowell and widow of the late Gideon H. Baker. When the M.E. church was in its infancy, she was an active and efficient worker. Upon becoming a widow she devoted herself to nursing, ministering to the wants of the sick and suffering. When she retired from active service, she devoted her life to her children, willingly making any sacrifice for their comfort and happiness. A kind and faithful mother, an honored and upright neighbor, she has passed on to her reward, but her works do follow her. She leaves three daughters, one son and seven grandchildren to mourn her loss. Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the home of Mrs. E.F. Lincoln. Interment in the family lot. Herbert L. Baker and family of Boston and Mrs. Ella C. Bowman and daughter, Olive, of Roslindale were called here to attend the services.
