"Marriage: Beckman-Geving" - Wedding at Miles: On Wednesday (January 21, 1913) afternoon there occurred at Miles City the wedding of Aleck Beckman and Miss Mabel Geving. The wedding took place at the Presbyterian parsonage, Rev. Smith officiating. It was quiet wedding, only a few relatives being present. The Groom is a well know young man and a brother to Mrs. E.T. Ness of this place and owns a farm east of here. The bride is a very popular young lady and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.O. Geving who live north of Plevna. They returned from Miles City on Friday after visiting the Custer County Fair and will make their home on the groom's farm.

Funeral services for Alick B. Beckman were held Monday, March 11 in the chapel of the Graves Funeral Home in Miles City with the Rev. C. H. Jacobson of the First Lutheran Church officiating (buried at Bonnievale Cemetery, Section B, Block 80, Lot 2). Beckman, who died Thursday, February 28, after a short illness had lived near Baker until 1940, moved to Kinsey in 1959, then to Miles City. He was proceeded in death by is wife Mabel who died in 1960 and a son Alvin in 1934. Among the survivors are two brothers, Henry of Baker and John of Miles City. Among the relatives from Baker who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Beckman and their daughters, Mrs. Walter Flint, Mrs. Norman Stenerson and Mrs. Roy Betterhausen; Mrs. Wanda Geving, Mrs. Shirley Smith, Mrs. Roberta Cor, Mr. and Mrs. William Geving, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Geving and Mr. and Mrs. Geving from Plevna.
