"MRS. EMMA PARKS - WOLCOTT -- Mrs. Emma Parks, 82 a telephone operator in Wolcott and Kentland for many years, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She had been in ill health several years and was a patient at Turtle Creek Nursing Home, Monticello, before entering the hospital.
Born at Milan, Ohio, Mrs. Parks moved to the Wolcott area in 1909. In 1918 she was first married to Perman Mattox, who died in 1943. Her second marriage was in 1946 to Leon Parks and he died in 1968. She attended the Wolcott Baptist Church. There are no immediate survivors."
