Marie Argo, 76, of Lebanon, died Jan. 14, 2011, at Willamette Manor in Lebanon.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Jan. 19, at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens.

She was born July 31, 1934, in Torrington, Wyo., the daughter of Harold and Fannie (Booth) Stowell.

She moved to California as a child and graduated from Van Nuys High School.

She married Ernest Argo on Jan. 14, 1955. They settled in Lebanon.

She worked as a bus driver and retired from the Crowfoot School District after 25 years.

Mrs. Argo was a Girl Scout leader when her daughters were young.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital Auxiliary and Rollin' Oldies Car Club.

She is survived by her husband Ernest of Lebanon; daughters Debbie Rae of Lebanon and Diana Foster of Salem; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Her parents, two sisters and a brother died before she did.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Willamette Manor Activity Department, and sent in care of Huston-Jost Funeral Home, 86 W. Grant St., Lebanon OR 97355.
