Son of Reuben Cassells and Anne Davis Watson Guy. Robert married Daisy Jane Stringfellow on December 7, 1940.

CHESTER - Capt. Robert Adams Guy, 25, of Chester, who was killed in action on February 17 in Italy, will be honored at memorial services Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock at Lowrys, eight miles north of Chester.

Besides his father, Captain Guy is survived by his wife, the former Miss Daisy Stringfellow; a small daughter; two brothers, James Watson Guy and R.C. Guy, Jr.; and three sisters, Mrs. Orin K. Pressley, Mrs. J. Marion Bankhead and Miss Ann Davis Guy.

Captain Guy was graduated from Clemson College in 1939 and entered the armed services of his country in November1940 in Fort Benning, Ga. He remained there two years and was then sent to Fort Bliss, Texas where he remained one year, Going overseas in April 1943. Prior to going to Italy he was in the heavy fighting in Sicily.
