BLUE SPRINGS - Rayford Allen "Ray" Thrasher, 52, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, in Blue Springs after an automobile accident. He was a native of Attala County and had been a resident of Blue Springs since 1980. He attended Randolph High School and had done both farming and factory work. He was a member of the New Robbs Bethel Baptist Church in Randolph. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved drag racing.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Sammy Lansdell officiating. Burial will be in the Sherman Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Christina Pullen of Lebanon, Mo.; one sister, Patricia Bigham of Sandwich, Ill.; two brothers, Dewight Thrasher of Tupelo and Kenneth W. Thrasher of Blue Springs; two grandchildren, Kathryn Pullen and Calie Pullen; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Lois Thrasher; and one brother, James L. Thrasher.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Courtney, Tommy Courtney Jr., Larry Courtney, Greg Cato, Cliff Cato and Ricky Mask.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
