SPRINGFIELD — The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home for John N. Abell of Springfield, who died Jan. 29 of heart failure. He was 76.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He was born June 4, 1934, to Ralph and Nettie Embrey Abell.
He served in the Army and worked as a steamfitter for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 290.
Survivors include two sons, Vincent of Fontana, Calif., and John of Springfield; a daughter, Jody Cowan of Kansas; five brothers, Milton "Gene" of Winnemucca, Nev., Eddie of Veneta, Jesse and Terry, both of Marcola, and Ralph of Reno, Nev.; a sister, Wanda Abell of Springfield; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
