Mr Dodd had been sick for a long time and had been a great sufferer. He fell from a scaffold, while at work in this city, about four years ago, and injured his spine. He had been an invalid practically ever since the date of the accident.
Mr Dodd was born and raised in Jumping Branch district, where two of his brothers now reside. He also has a sister, Mrs Sarah Taylor, of Greenbrier county, and one living in Florida.
Mr Dodd is survived by his widow and six children. The children are all married.
The deceased was a good citizen and had long been a consistent member of the Baptist church.
The remains were buried this afternoon in Hill Top Cemetery.
