Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at West Funeral Home Chapel for John Miller Sisk, 77, 404 N. Mesa St. He died Friday.

Officiating will be the Rev. G.N. Ensor of Cavern Baptist Church. Burial will be in Carlsbad Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronald G. Evans, Darr Angell, Billy Carlyle, Harold Sisk, O.T. Guest and Roy Hauk.

Sisk was born in Oran, Tex. During the 1930s he worked on road construction, moving here in 1937. In 1939 he began working at U.S. Potash Co. He moved to Arizona in 1954, where he was employed at Magma Copper Co. He retired in 1968, moving here.

Survivors include the widow, Effie, Carlsbad; two sons, Charles Ray, Hagerman, and Jack N., Woodland Hills, Calif.; two daughters, Thelma Angell, Hagerman, and Willie Joyce Evans, Clay Poole, Ariz.; one brother, Claude M., Silver City; two sisters, Willie Mae McBride, Levelland, Tex., and Mary Murdock, Carlsbad; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
