York - Lydia I. Snell of Lightner Road, York, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at her home. She was 98.
She was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God.
Born in Zion's View, Conewago Township, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ida Wintermyer Krout. She was the wife of the late Arthur E. Snell Sr.
Mrs. Snell leaves five sons, Raymond L. Snell, Clair E. Snell, Robert E. Snell and Martin H. Snell, all of York, and Steven A. Snell, Thomasville; two daughters, Gloria M. Overmiller and Betty A. Mosebrook, both of York; 43 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Daniel Krout, Zion's View and Charles Krout, Dover.
A daughter, Dorothy M. Snell, and four sons, Arthur E. Snell Jr., Orville E. Snell, Luther W. Snell, and Richard W. Snell, are deceased.
Viewing is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at John W. Keffer Funeral Home Inc., 902 Mount Rose Ave. The service is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Calvary Temple Assemblies of God, Roosevelt Avenue Extended, with her pastor, the Rev. Carl B. Halvorsen, officiating.
Burial will be in Quickel's Cemetery, Zion's View.
