Funeral services for Max Hall, 61, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 6, from the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Smellage Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 3 p.m. today, Thursday, July 5, at the funeral home.
Mr. Hall died on Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born on September 21, 1939, in Morgan County, IN to Lois Irene Greeson Hall of Largo, FL, and the late Arthur Hall. Mr. Hall was a retired auctioneer and a member of Baxter First Church of God. He served with the Boy Scouts of America for 16 years. Mr. Hall established the first day camp in Putnam County and earned the Long Rifle Award.
In addition to his mother, his family includes his wife, Carol Littrell Hall of Cookeville; three sons, Christopher, Mark and Brian Hall, all of Cookeville; a brother, Robert L. Hall of Coulterville, IL; a sister, Marjorie Knight of Westphalia, IN; and two grandchildren, Ashely and Brittany Hall.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Upchurch Hesse.
