Oakland - Emil Franzluebbers, 53, of rural Oakland, died of cancer Friday, Jan. 25, 1991. At St. Frances Memorial Hospital in West Point. Mr. Franzluebbers was born Oct. 21, 1937, in West Point. He attended school in Monterey and served with the U. S. National Guard for a short time. He became a maintainer operator for Garfield Township in Cuming County and was a truck driver for Ortmeier Seed and Feed Co. in West Point. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lyons. He married Janet Peplinski Sept. 16, 1961, in Dodge. She survives. Other survivors include four sons, Gary of Lake Butler, Fla., Daniel of Grissin, GA, and Patrick and Duane both of Oakland; a daughter Brenda Franzluebbers of Oakland; four Brothers Charles and Anton, both of Dodge, Joseph of West Point, and Wenzel of Beemer; two sisters, Gertrude, (Mrs. Richard) Ernesti of Howells, Bernadine (Mrs. Melvin) Kampschneider of Columbus; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lyons. The Rev. Michael Kelly will officiate. Visitation is in progress until 5 tonight at Ben Stalp Funeral Chapel in West Point and 6 tonight until time for the service at the church. A rosary will be said 7 tonight at the church. Burial will be in St. Boniface parish cemetery in Monterey
