Sarah Ann Scott Hanley was born Kilglass, Co. Roscommon, Ireland. Her parents are Patrick Scott and Ellen Roddy.


Sarah left Ireland at a young age to be with Patrick Hanley in New York. Sarah married Patrick on February 17, 1901.


Sarah spent most of her married life at 19760 St. Clair Ave. Euclid, Ohio. Sarah and Patrick's children are Tom, Jack, Jimmy, Sally, Ed, Joe, Al, and Frank(twins), Daniel, Helen, and Catharine. Patrick's niece Kitty spent most of her life with them also.


Sarah was loved by her family.

Sarah A. Hanley, age 92, of Mentor, formerly of Euclid, beloved wife of the late Patrick, dear mother of Thomas, James, Edward, Aloysius, Frank and the late Sally Kelly, Jack and Joseph, aunt of Catherine Traynor, grandmother and great-grandmother. The family will receive friends 7-9 P.M. Monday, 2-4 And 7-9 P.M. Tuesday at The Brunner Funeral Home, 8466 Mentor Ave. (Rt. 20), Mentor Funeral Mass 9 a.m. Wednesday, St. Mary Church, Mentor.
