He leaves a son, Kenneth C. Bassett of Worcester; a daughter, Jacqueline Jaggard of Silver Springs, NY; a sister, Dorothy Ringquist of Worcester; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester and attended Worcester public schools.
Mr. Bassett had been a dispatcher for Shell Oil Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1962.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am in Caswell- King Funeral Home, 1147 Main St, Holden. The Rev. Danal Curtis will officiate. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are private.
