MARION: Richard E. Morgan, age 79 of Marion, Ohio passed away Monday, August 24, 2009 at Marion General Hospital. He was born August 23, 1930 in Marysville, Ohio to the late Ervie and Josephine (Louck) Morgan.
On November 1, 1959 he married Martha M. (Landon) Morgan, she survives in Marion.
Richard was employed at Community Action Center and in his free time he enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Morgan of Marion, OH; his five children, Richard C. (Karen) Morgan of Princeton, WV, John G. Morgan of Marion, OH, Terry L. Morgan of Marion, OH, Pamela S. (James) Wilson of Marion, OH, Dean A. (Marcie) Morgan of Marion, OH; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Also survived by six brothers, Lawrence Morgan of Marion, OH, Kenneth (Betty) Morgan of Marion, OH, William Morgan of Marion, OH, James (Helen) Morgan of Marion, OH, Ronald (Cindi) Morgan of Marion, OH, Roger Morgan of Marion, OH; two sisters, Maxine Hawthorne of Marion, OH and Ilene (Sam) Headley of West Palm Beach, FL.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
The funeral service will be Friday, August 28, 2009 (1 p.m.) at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home with Rev. Barkley Slone officiating. Burial will follow at the Marion Cemetery.
