Thomas J. Bonavita, 54, of 406 Fourth Avenue, Warren, PA. died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from complications from an extended illness. He was born January 5, 1957 in Warren, PA, son of the late Samuel and Rose Marie Konestoba Bonavita. He lived in Warren his entire life. Tom was a 1975 graduate of Warren Area High School. He earned his BA degree in 1978 at the University of Pittsburgh and his Juris Doctrate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1981. While attending Pitt he was a cheerleader. He was an Attorney at the Bonavita Law Firm for over 20 years. He served as Assistant Public Defender and Public Defender. He also served as the court appointed Juvenile Master. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #964, Elks Lodge, The Bar Association and Warren Players Club. He was an avid Pitt fan. He was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church. He is survived by a daughter, Molly Bonavita of State College, PA. A son, Jeffrey Bonavita of Warren, PA. Two brothers, John (Cheryl) of Sheffield, PA and James (Dale) Bonavita of Warren, PA. A brother-in-law Socrates Georgeadis of Reading, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Jo Bonavita Georgeadis.
