Mary Ann Balsley Garcia, a homemaker, died Saturday of cancer at her home. She was 72. Mrs. Garcia was born in Orchard, Iowa, and lived in New Orleans for 48 years. She was a graduate of Kahler School of Nursing in Rochester, Minn., and was formerly a registered nurse at Kahler Hospital, Mayo Clinic and Ochsner Clinic. She was past president of Mercy Auxiliary of Mercy Hospital, and a member of the parents clubs at Jesuit, Dominican and Holy Name of Jesus schools. She was an Army veteran. Survivors include her husband, Jose L. Garcia-Oller, two sons, Jose L. II and Antonio J. Garcia; four daughters, Maria Kron (Frederick), Ana Burr Robin), Teresa Kaylo (Allan), and Margarita Sims (Jay); and four grandchildren.
