Aged 50y; injuries. Son of M. H. and Julia Clayton Caldwell. He was listed as divorced and a telegraph operator on his death certificate.
The man fatally injured last Friday night when struck by an automobile was identified yesterday as Clayton Caldwell, former Pittsfield resident. He was at one time employed by a grain and stock company here. Identification was made by several residents of the local transient bureau. At an inquest held yesterday it was decided that Caldwell's death was due to injuries accidentally sustained when he was struck by an automobile. Caldwell died the following day at St. John's hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete awaiting word from relatives.
