Harriet was born on December 21, 1859 and died on December 18, 1930 of cancer and was buried at the Terre Haute Cemetery, Terre Haute, Decatur Co., Iowa. James grew up in Terre Haute, Iowa. vicinity. James and Harriet lived on a farm on the bank of the Pottoff Creek, south of Terre Haute, Iowa.
