The following information was contributed by Carole Nurmi Cummings, wife of the 2nd Great Grand-nephew of Bridget.

Marriage Information ~ Kentucky Marriage

▪ Date of Marriage: 13 May 1869
▪ Place of Marriage: Kenton County, Kentucky
▪ Groom: P. H. Lalley, 22 years old.
▪ Bride: Bridget Cummings, 22 years old.

▪ Location of Church: Falmouth, Pendleton County, Kentucky
▪ Name of Individual Buried: Mrs. Lalley
▪ Buried February 20, 1879
▪ Age 40 years.
▪ Cemetery: Saint Francis Xavier Cemetery

Immigration: S. S. Etna

▪ Bridget migrated to the United States with her brother Martin and sister Mary on the S. S. Etna traveling from Liverpool England to New York City arriving on July 12, 1864. We know from family trees that these three were siblings, but on the same ship manifest directly above Martin, Mary and Bridger were two other Cummings John Cummings and Bridget Cummings. These two Cummings were probably family as well.

▪ After reaching New York, Bridget traveled to Kentucky. Her brother, Edward Cummings, had moved to Kentucky in the 1850s and was living in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky. She met and married Patrick Lalley in Kenton County, Kentucky.

▪ From what records I could find she had five children one which died at 5 months old.

He used family members and neighbors to document details for each family who had lived in Pendleton County, Kentucky.

▪ Came to Pendleton County from Hartford, Connecticut
▪ Patrick lived near Boston Station, next to Cowles Far.
▪ For a while Patrick supervised Ed Cummings land.
▪ Bridget was sister of Ed Cummings.
▪ Informant: John C Kirby; Residence: Covington, Kentucky; Date 8/20/1938

▪ On 7 Nov 2012, I phoned the local library and courthouse seeking additional information about the Pendleton County area.
▪ A woman who had lived in Pendleton County stated that the county had only 15,000 residents today in the entire county.
▪ She described the county as being wooded with rolling hills wih stone fences dotting the countryside.
▪ She remarked that many of the Irish and Germans probably migrated there because it reminded them much of the country they came from.
