George Ledford Logan, 71, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 4, 2011, at Med Central Mansfield Hospital.

He was born February 6, 1939, in Olive Hill, Kentucky, a son of the late Leonard and Kathern Tomlin Logan.

George was a retired employee of Mansfield Plating.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 33 years, Betty Sue Lawson Logan, who passed away in 1992, five sisters and two brothers-in-law.

He is survived by one son, George A. (Shannon) Logan of Plymouth, Ohio, five grandchildren, Brandy Logan and Desirea Logan, both of Mansfield, Ohio, Brittany Logan of Norwalk, Ohio, Athena Fessenden of Plymouth, Ohio, and Alexis Smith of Mansfield, Ohio, three great- grandchildren, Cayden, Glen, and Maliahya, four siblings, Christine Stevens of Shelby, Ohio, Aline Boggs of Mansfield, Ohio, Leonard (Janice) Logan of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Clyde R. (Elaine) Logan of Mansfield, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Pastor Mitchell Prater officiating. Burial will follow in the Tick Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
