Family members have been told by a number of sources that Dr Bowman is buried in Brown's Grove. A number of people have looked for a tombstone, they found none.

Nevada Notes
Dr Bowman, who was a person of considerable notoriety in this county some two or three year ago, died with disease of the lungs, at Brown's Grove, on Monday of last week. He had been practicing medicine at that place during most of the time since his return from Nebraska.
Ness County Times 6-2-1882
Dr H. M. Bowman died on Monday th 16th ult, from an overdose of morphine, which he was in the habit of taking while troubled with pains of the heart.
Dr Bowman is believed to have been married twice. His lst wife was Margaret Eliza Vance. She 2 or possible 3 children and died in 1861. Dr Bowman was left with at least one infant. He then married Mary Jane McLauthin. Her name is spelled many ways. He was the father of as many as 7 children. In those days census records only recorded initials. Therefore I'm not sure of the number.
