Arthur A. "Art" Mills was the son of Arthur A. Mills and Clare Weaver.

He married Mary Lou Rankin on 12 Jun 1964 at the First United Methodist Church in Clarion, Clarion Co., PA.

Art died at the Golden Living Center in Shippenville, PA and was buried 11 Mar 2008.

ARTHUR A. "ART" MILLS

Arthur A. "Art" Mills, 67, of 624 Liberty St., Clarion, died at 1:14 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, in the Golden Living Center, Shippenville, following a brief illness.

Born April 20, 1940. in Clarion, he was the son of the late Arthur A. and Clare Weaver Mills.

He was a 1958 graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School.

Mr. Mills had been employed as a land agent for several local coal companies and owned and operated the Mobil Gasoline Station on Clarion's Main Street for 14 years. He was employed by Bilo in Clarion when he retired.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarion.

Mr. Mills was married June 12, 1964, in the First United Methodist Church, Clarion, to the former Mary Lou Rankin, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Bruce A. Mills and wife, Kathleen, of Fort Mill, S.C., and Thad C. Mills of Shippenville; and two grandsons, Benjamin W. Mills and Charles A. Mills, both of Fort Mill, S.C.

He also is survived by two brothers, Trueman W. Mills and wife, Jean, of Clarion and Thomas C. Mills and wife, Alice, of California; a sister, Norman Shutts and husband, James, of Frederick, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home in Rimersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Leonard Goughler, pastor of the New Athens Church of God of Prophecy, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rankin plot in Rimersburg Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Charitable Deeds and Services, 98 Hickory Nut Lane, Knox, 16232.
