Life time Centralia resident, Aloha May (Morrill) Langford passed away peacefully at her home after a long hard battle against several illnesses. A big thank you to Centralia Hospice Nurse, Cathy, for her help, kindness and support these passed 2 1/2 years. And a thank you too, to Aloha's bath aids. She looked forward to their visits for her extra "pampering".
Aloha was born on May 16, 1922 to Walter F. Morrill and Myrtle V. (Webster) Morrill. She had an infectious laugh and beautiful smile, as all who knew her would agree. Aloha had many interests. She loved traveling, camping, fishing, painting, dancing, watching car racing and listening to good music. She also liked watching Tiger Woods play golf on TV. But above all, she loved her gatherings with close friends and family such as the Webster Family picnic and her monthly luncheons with "the girls". She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she is greatly missed.
Aloha was a longtime member of The Daughters of The Pioneers of Washington, and The American Legion Auxiliary, where she spent many hours helping with events, parties and dinners.
Aloha had many adventures and fun in her life. From many trips to the beach with family and friends, to when she and husband, Larry, traveled with the Mocan's to Reno. There was the trip she took with her good friend Shirley, when they drove to West Virginia in the 50's. Woman didn't do much traveling alone and certainly not that far, back then. Aloha also traveled the Yukon Highway to Alaska with her cousin, Edna, and Edna's husband Louie, (Louie drove and would never pull over to sight see!!). She toured Europe with another dear friend, Doris, to chaperon several teens. She would always say what fun she had!!
Later in life, after her husband Larry had passed, Aloha purchased The Home Town Broiler (previously known as The Wheel). She ran the restaurant for several years with good friends, Bev and Marley along with family members. Now she thought THAT, she would say, was truly an adventure!
Aloha was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jim, and her husband Larry. She is survived by her Sister, Bonnie, Chehalis WA. Cousin Edna, Morton WA, Cousin Lucile, Tumwater WA. Son, Gary and wife Emily, Centralia WA. Son Tom, Monroe WA. Three Grandchildren, Jennifer, Centralia WA. Jessica, Tumwater, WA. and Heather of Oregon. Five great-grandchildren, and numerous other very close and beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
