Son of Luther Gamewell and Mallie Elizabeth Ballentine Smith.

EASLEY - Funeral services for Luther G. Smith, Jr., 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. L.G. Smith, Sr., who drowned at Bentonville, Ark., Saturday afternoon will be held at 11 o'clock Thursday morning at the First Presbyterian Church of Easley. Rev. C.G. Lynch will officiate, the interment will be made in the family plot at Pickens Chapel Cemetery, Anderson County.

Surviving are the parents, two brothers and two sisters.

The body arrived in Easley at 11 o'clock Wednesday night and will be at the W.W. Robinson company until 9 o'clock Thursday morning when it will be carried to the church and lie in state.
