General Raleigh Lambert Sr., 76, of Georgetown passed away Wednesday, December 22, 1993, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Lambert was born in Georgetown on Feb. 18, 1918, a son of the late Phillip Ralson Lambert and Rebecca Goings Lambert. He lived all his life in Georgetown, South Carolina, and was an avid outdoors-man.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and also enjoyed hunting and fishing, being a member of Ports Creek Hunting Club. He was a retired employee of the International Paper Company with forty-four years of service. And a believer of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith.

Mr. Lambert was predeceased in death by his son, Raleigh Lambert Jr.

Surviving are his wife Inez Goins Lambert; three sons, Bob Lambert and Nettles Lambert, Sr., both of Georgetown, and Ronnie Lambert of Little River; two daughters, Betty Lee of Murrells Inlet and Shirley Ogren of Georgetown; one brother, Gasparn of Charleston, SC; and a sister Edna Mae Lambert Barnett of Pennsylvania; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm. Friday, December 24, 1993, at Georgetown Chapel of Graham Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Reverend Tony Goins and the Reverend Clide E. Glover Sr.

Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
