Pioneer Sweetwater Resident Dead (Obituary)
SWEETWATER, Dec. 12. — Funeral for Mrs. Martha Ann Holley, 89, a resident of Sweetwater for more than 40 years, was held at 1:30 p.m. today in the Wells Funeral home chapel. Burial was to follow in the Zion cemetery near Loraine.

Mrs. Holley died at her home here at 5 p. m. Tuesday. She was born April 20, 1857, at Booneville, Miss. On Dec. 22, 1881, she married the late John T. Holley at Booneville. She and her husband came to Texas in 1898.

She was survived by two sons, Claude Henry Holley, Sweetwater, and Clinton T. Holley, Monahans;
six daughters:
Mrs. Bert Williams (Myrtle) , Sweetwater,
Mrs. W. F. Ambrose (Myrtie), Oklahoma City,
Mrs. H. H. (Arrie) Kirkpatrick, San Bernadino, Calif.,
Mrs. N. L. (Tina) Tivis, Portales, N. M.,
Mrs. J. L. (Lurena) Tillison, Monahans, and
Mrs. N. L. (Etta Rose) Chandler, Jacksonville.
