James Leonard Heath was born in Farley, Platte Co MO, the son of Israel Love Heath and his wife Louisa Jane (Baldwin) Heath. He married ca. 1920 Jessie Mable Shannon, the daughter of John Lindsay Shannon born Jan 1850 Fallowfield Twp, Washington Co PA and his wife Alice Virginia McKerahan b. Dec 1855 PA.
James moved from St. Louis, MO. to Tulsa, OK in 1917. He was the owner of Heath Plumbing Co. and performed many large installation jobs. He was a member of the First Christian Church, the Delta Masonic Lodge and other organizations. They were married in Carthage, MO. J. Jessie graduated from Lock Haven Normal College in Lock Haven, PA and was a teacher in both PA and AZ prior to her marriage. She moved to Tulsa, OK in 1918 to become Director of Home Demonstration for Tulsa County during WWI.
