In 1924 he married the former Bessie Louella O'Shaughnessy at Aultsville, who survives. He also leaves 3 sons: Raymond, Eric, Owen Dafoe all of Ingleside and one daughter, Miss Marjorie Dafoe at home. He was the last surviving member of a family of six children.
