R. S. Dafoe INGLESIDE - Ross Sidney Dafoe, one of Ingleside's most respected citizens, died suddenly of a heart attack while working with the tractor in the bush on his farm property Sept. 20 [1972]. Born April 4, 1895 at Aultsville, he was a son of the late Robert James Dafoe and his wife Mary Gallinger. He was an area farmer all his life. In 1924 he married the former Bessie Louella O'Shaughnessy at Aultsville, who survives. He also leaves 3 sons: Raymond, Eric, Owen Dafoe all of Ingleside and one daughter, Miss Marjorie Dafoe at home. He was the last surviving member of a family of six children. Mr. Dafoe was a quiet friendly man who leaves many friends. His interests were his family, his friends, his farm and his garden. services were conducted from Trinity United Church, Ingleside, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. with Rev. H. W. Giffin officiating. Burial was in St. Lawrence Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Elburn Crites, Fred Jarvis, James Dingwall, Oscar Ouderkirk, Jack Dunbar, Rene Bourgon.
