John Perry Abell - Of Compton, died at Providence Hospital Washington, on Tuesday, December 14th, aged about 60 years, from a complication of diseases following an operation for a growth on his tongue. He was engaged in the mercantile business for a number of years and had been a farmer all his life. Son of the late James T. Abell and Priscilla Abell, and is survived by 2 sisters and 2 brothers, all of this county, and the following children: Mrs. Claude Guy, of Clements; Mrs. Fredrick Parker, of Washington; Mrs. Louis Russell, of this city; Misses Nellie and Beatrice Abell, of Compton; Fulton and Bernard Albell, of Clements, and James T. Abell, of Compton. Funeral services were held at Newtown Church on Thursday. (Dec. 18, 1920, col. 2, p. 3) Enterprise
