Patrick Granahan Dies in Pittston.
Patrick Granahan, 139 Oak Street, Browntown, life long resident of Pittston and for about twenty years in the train service of the Leigh Valley Railroad, died at 8:10 o'clock this morning at the Pittston Hospital where he had been admitted for medical treatment yesterday. Mr. Granahan had lately been an extra conductor on the Leigh Valley Railroad. He was stricken ill on Sunday December 6th, and his condition had been such since as to cause much anxiety to members of his family and his friends.
Deceased was born in this city and was in his early forties He was the son of Manus Granahan of 1 Sand Street, and the late Josephine (Baumeister) Granahan. He was an industrious young man, devoted to his home and family, and had the respect of all of his acquaintances. He was a member of Saint John the Evangelist R. C. Church.
Surviving are his widow, the former Helen Clisham of Browntown, and these sons and daughters: Mrs. Paul Tischler, at home; Patrick Jr., Vincent, Gerald and Harold Granahan; Two step-sons, Joseph Donnelly, of Ann Arbor Mich., and Paul Donnelly, at home; his father, and these brothers and sisters: John and Francis, of Pittston; Paul, of the United States Army, Hartford, Conn.; Mrs. Theresa Crofton, Mrs. John Kearney and Miss Josephine Granahan, all of this city.
