Emma A. Lamb was born Sept. 16, 1854, in Crawfordsville, Ind., died in Windsor, Monday, August 14, 1922. When twelve years of age she came with her parents to Sedalia, Mo., where she met and married Walter Elliott Dec. 16, 1868. From Sedalia they moved to a farm near Lamonte, then to Henry county and finally to Windsor, where she had resided twenty-five years. To this union four children were born, viz: Mrs. Lorrain(e) Bridges and Miss Abbie Elliott of Windsor, Mrs. E. F. Van Wagner and Mrs. G. E. Wilson of Sedalia, all of whom were with their mother during her many months of suffering. Mr. Elliott died twelve years ago. When a young girl she united with the Baptist church and throughout her long life was a consecrated follower of the Master. She was confined to her bed for five months, but during her long illness she never murmur - always patient and gentle, feeling that though the end was near all was right with her and she was ever thoughtful and considerate of those she loved so well. She was a kind and loving mother, a good neighbor and a true fried. Truly in her demise a grand and noble woman has gone home. She is also survived by four brothers.
Funeral services, in charge of Rev. George W. Wright were held yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and interment was made in Laurel Oak cemetery. (The Windsor Review, Thursday, Aug. 17, 1922, Vol. 47, No. 29, Pg 1, Column 1)
