Funeral Services For Fred Exendine Held At Colony
Colony -- Funeral services for Fred M. Exendine, a member of the Delaware tribe, were held last week. He died May 20 at his home in Colony after a prolonged illness. He was 76 years of age.
For 20 years he worked with the Indian Service, most of that time being spent working with Indians in the Colony and Clinton area. He retired a few years ago because of ill health.
Born on September 9, 1879, at Bartlesville, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Exendine. He joined the Quaker church in his youth and later became a member of the Colony Presbyterian church.
He was married to Miss Lora Stacy on June 25, 1907.
He is survived by his wife, Lora of Colony; three brothers, Frank, Albert and John; a sister, Mrs. Winona McKosato; a foster son, Randall; two grandchildren, Mrs. Byron Smith and Miss Norma Greenfield.
