LEAKESVILLE, Miss. (Special) -- Funeral services for Mrs. Roxie McLendon, 61, was held Friday at 2 p.m. from the New Hope Baptist Church of Leakesville with the Rev. Claude Lathan, pastor and the Rev. Robert Crocker officiating. Burial was in the Sweet Water Cemetery with Freeman Funeral Home of Leakesville in charge.
Mrs. McLendon, a native and life long resident of Leakesville, died Wednesday at her residence following a brief illness.
Survivors include her husband, Elmo McLendon of Leakesville; three sons, Charles and Alton McLendon, both of Pascagoula, Miss., and Dale McLendon of State Line, Miss.; five daughters, Mrs. Annelle Walley, Mrs. Peggy Crocker, Mrs. Linda Walley, and Wanda Fay McLendon, all of Leakesville and Mrs. Christine Nelson of Livermore Falls, Maine; three brothers, J. L. Perry of Mobile, Lloyd E. Perry and Bob Perry, both of Leakesville; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Dearmon of Leakesville and Mrs. Rena Hodges of Flynn, Texas: Twenty-seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren
