A service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lake wood Funeral Home Chapel for Matilda B. Vaughn, 80, who died Tuesday in Ceres. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vaughn, a native of South Dakota, came to California in 1935 and had lived in the Modesto area since 1960. She was a teacher for the Ceres Elementary School District for thirteen years.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Vaughn of Modesto; three sons, Lewis L. Deckert of Nevada, Rev. Harry W. Deckert of Utah and Ray A. Deckert of Texas; a daughter, Jean Ralton of Fountain Valley; a sister; fifteen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
