RICHMOND HILL - Yancey D. Anderson, 47, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at home.
He was a life long resident of Richmond Hill, a member of Bryan Lodge No. 303 and Richmond Hill United Methodist Church.
He was a 1982 graduate of Richmond Hill High School and attended Savannah College of Art & Design and Armstrong Atlantic State University.
He was preceded in death by his father Lee Roy Anderson, Sr.; brother, Lee Roy Anderson, Jr.; and brother-in-law, J.E. Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hughes of Richmond Hill; son, Forest Tyler Yancey Anderson (Morgan) of Richmond Hill; daughter, Simone Ray of Effingham County; mother, Joyce Anderson Todd; three grandchildren, Hannah Grace Anderson, Jordan Roberts, and Elias Nadi; sisters, Dawn A. Clark of Richmond Hill & Pamela A. Ellis (Douglas) of Jesup; nieces and nephews, Charlotte A. Clark, Ashley A. Boland, Jonathan D. Ellis, Mason Lee Clark, and James A. Ellis; two step-children, Kenneth Hughes and Amy Hughes Bolt. Several other family members also survive.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
Burial will be held at Richmond Hill First Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Make a Wish Foundation, 1775 The Exchange SE, Suite 200 Atlanta, GA 30339-2016.
