The three months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allan Conley was buried in Rose Hill cemetery last Monday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the church, Rev. Leland officiating. A large number of friends of the damily came in from Balzac to attend the funeral. The little one's death was caused by an attack of bronchial pneumonia.
In Memory of Baby Conley
Dear little one! We loved her so!
And now she is lying under the snow.
Under the snow so cold and white;
And we cannot see her or kiss her tonight.
Her hands are quiet and still, ah me!
How busy and restless they used to be.
Dear little one! We miss you so!
All the day long, wherever we go.
All through the night; how lonely it seems!
For no little voice wakes us out of our dreams.
Day-time or night-time, wherever we go,
Dear little darling! we miss you so.
Sweet Aline, you've gone from us now;
Never your hands will rest on our brow
Never your eyes gaze into our face;
Never to clasp in fond embrace.
But we know in a happier, heavenlier clime,
Little Aline we'll clasp some time.
Dear little one, "when the Master shall call
All welcome the summons He gives to all;
For then we shall see your dear baby face,
Clasp you again in fond embrace.
Shall we know you, I wonder, among the bright bands?
Will you beckon us over, Oh dear little hands.
