Note: Stamie was the first child and son of my great uncle, William Preston "Press" Sharpe, Sr. & aunt Sarah Malinda Henderson Sharpe (Born: 1875, NC) marriage (11 Jan 1898, Iredell, North C) d/o Buck Henderson & Jane Mastin. His step mother was Alley Florance Cass Sharpe. His aunt Georgia Campbell was my grandmother. Grandma Campbell enjoyed his company. Sometimes on Saturdays, we would all gather in Grandma's front yard and have homemade ice cream and watermelon, after we had gone to Hunting Creek to play in the water. Stamey and his wife, Lenar, would come for the gathering. Stamey was a stout man, like his father, my Great Uncle Press Sharpe. He was a simple and genuine person and I am glad to have known him.
