Mr. Mize
Bishop H. "Bogie" Mize,72, 1106 So. 11th St. died Thursday in a local hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Fred Anderton and James Terry officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.

Survivors: wife, Mrs. Alene Thompson Mize;son, Charles H. Mize;daughter, Mrs. Betty Patterson;daughter-in-law, Mrs. Joyce Mize;son-in-law, Billy R. Patterson; grandchildren, Len, Sherry, Jimmy and Steven Mize, Randy Patterson and Nanette Anderson, all of Gadsden;sister, Mrs. Clara Meeks, Dallas, Texas, several nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers:Melton Burgess, Tom Pritchett, Jim Stewart, Ronnie Reed, Huley Johnson, T.L. Simons, A.L. Terrell, Talmadge Downs, O.C> Roberts, Roy Landers, Howard Eidson. Honorary pallbearers:Drs. William Simpson, Joe Denson, Lucian Newman and John Campbell;Drs. Harrell Cushing and Troy L. Morrison, deacons of Mount Carmel Baptist Church, members of W.H. Gibbs Sunday School Class, members of Sansom Booster Club, staff fourth floor Holy Name of Jesus Hospital, personnel of City Park and Recreation Board, all personal friends.

Mr. Mize was a native of St. Clair County and a resident of Gadsden for a number of years. He was a member and deacon of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Mr. Mize was a member of the National Little League,was president and coached Little League Teams for several years. He was retired from Republic Steel Corp. and at the time of his death was manager of City Park Concession Stand.

The body will remain in the funeral home through the hour of service. The Family will receive friends after 5 p.m. today.
