Born Aug. 13, 1910, at Ellendale, N. D., she was the daughter of Rudolph and Clara Noess Pomplun. She was educated at Ellendale, N. D., and had lived in the Ripon and Rosendale areas since 1929.
She was employed for 29 years at Speed Queen Division of McGraw-Edison Co. and was a member of the Golden Jubiliers of Speed Queen.
She was a member of the Women's Guild, evening session at Our Saviour's United Church of Christ, a member of the Willow Lane Homemakers and the Ripon Historical Society.
She was married to Ellsworth Martin Oct. 26, 1929, and he died April 9, 1968.
Mrs. Martin is survived by two brothers, Herbert Pomplun of Ellendale, N. D., and Robert Pomplun of Jamestown, N. D.; and two sisters, Miss Josephine Pomplun of Milwaukee and Mrs. Betsy Moderow of Markesan.
She was preceded in death by one sister in addition to her husband.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Saviour's United Church of Christ with the Rev. E. Schieler officiating. Burial will be in Rosendale Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, Ripon.
