Harry H. "Sarge" Platt, 67, died Saturday, July 5, 1980 at the Ottawa County Hospital. He was born September 10, 1912 at Texarkana, Arkansas, the son of Harry Victor Platt and Kathryn Hall Platt.

He was united in marriage to Anna Budke in 1946 in Salina. He was a veteran of World II, and was a career noncommissioned officer in the U. S. Army, and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. They moved to Minneapolis in 1965.

He was a member of the Catholic Church.

He is survived b his wife, Anna; by one son, Jim and one daughter, Kathy all of Minneapolis; by two brothers, Kenneth Platt of Grand Prairie, Texas and James Platt of Trinidad, Colorado.

Services were conducted Tuesday, July 8, at the Catholic Church. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Catholic Church.
