At 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon word was received here of the death at St. Luke's hospital, Denver, of Mrs. Addie L. Bussard, wife of Charles W. Bussard of this city. The cause of death was given as weakness.

Mrs. Bussard after an illness of seven weeks from appendicitis, left Laramie a week ago last Monday for the purpose of undergoing an operation.

The operation was performed by Dr. Freeman on Wednesday last and was considered to be successful, the reports received here from the hospital saying that the patient was doing well. On Friday, however, the report was less favorable and death resulted yesterday.

Mrs. John Wallace of this city was in attendance upon Mrs. Bussard at the time of her death.

The deceased lady was 37 years of age and was a native of Kansas. She came to Laramie with her parents twenty years ago and had lived here ever since. Besides her husband, Mrs. Bussard leaves five children. Samuel, Charles, Eva, Winnie and Grace, the eldest being just 21 years of age and the youngest, Grace, being but eight.

Mrs. E.P. Williams and Mr. Warren Comstock of Fort Collins, a brother and sister, have been notified of her death as have Mr. George Comstock of Rockdale, Wyo., another brother and Mr. Lymon Comstock her father, who is at the Millbrook ranch on the Little Laramie.

An aunt of the deceased, Mrs. Purdy, is living in Laramie; an uncle, Mr. Parker is resident at Elk Point, South Dakota and another uncle, Mr. Chauncy Bacon, at Fort Collins all of whom have been notified.
Mrs. Bussard was a most Christian woman and a devoted mother, she was a woman to whom people naturally turned for sympathy when in trouble, and never in vain. Her loss will be mourned not only by her family but by a very large circle of her friends and neighbors by whom she was held dear.

No definite arrangements were made last night for the funeral but it is known that the "Women of Woodcraft" and "The Royal Neighbors", in both of which societies the deceased was an honored member, will take charge and that it will probably occur on Tuesday afternoon.
