Mr. Wilson died at his home Friday evening as a result of a tractor accident. He was born in Edge on October 5, 1917, and had lived in Brazos County most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the Church of Christ in Edge.
Survivors include four sisters, Miss Kathryn Wilson of Edge, Mrs. Mattie W. Curtiss of Bryan, Mrs. Eva Wilda Fitzhugh of Crockett, and Mrs. Isabell Ott of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania; one nephew, Mack H. Langford III; and five nieces, Miss Kay Langford, Miss Billie Joan Wilson, Miss Nora Elizabeth Wilson, Mrs. Kathy Ann Young, and Miss Debbie Langford.
TSGT Vaughn Robert Wilson, son of Mr. & Mrs. Jesse wilson, Edge, graduate of S.F.Austin High School, entered the US Army in 1941, trained at Camp Wallace, Texas & Mississippi. Served in Aleutians and Alaska. Awarded APO, American Def GC Metal, 2 Overseas Bars amd Victory Ribbon. Discharged in 1945.
