Alfred Stanley Keese, a life long resident of Medina, passed away in the Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital in Kerrville Friday, after an extended illness, at the age of 60 years, three months and 17 days.

Mr. Keese was born on March 2, 1988(this was a typo in the obit), and died June 19, 1959. His parents were L. J. Keese and Paralee Shepperd Keese, early residents of that community. He was happily married to Miss Julia Howard of Medina. He grew up in and followed the ranching business all his life. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Mr. Keese is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Walter Holliman of San Antonio, Mrs. G. M. Holliman of Medina, Mrs Donald Sutherland of Alexandria, Virginia, Mrs Ray Evans of Uvalde; five grandchildren; brothers Jeff Keese, Orville Keese of Medina and Charles Keese of Denton; and one sister, Mrs Clarence Love of Indian Gap.

Funeral services were conducted in the Plummer Funeral Home Chapel Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock with Rev. Elbert Adams, pastor of the Medina Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was made in the West Prong Cemetery under the direction of Plummer Funeral Home. Pall bearers were O. H. Kelley, V. A. Williams, Tom Carpenter, Enoch Moffett, Richard Adams, and Earl Weed
