Thousands of people, including the federal MPs Malcolm Turnbull and Maxine McKew, are expected to attend a funeral service today for the five murdered members of the Lin family.
The funeral, to be held at Badgery Pavilion at Sydney Olympic Park, comes three weeks after the family were found bludgeoned to death in their North Epping home.
The hour-long service, to start at 11am, will include speeches by the family, music and a multimedia presentation.
Those attending will include the Liberal leader, Mr Turnbull; the federal MP for the area, Ms McKew; the state MP and Opposition justice spokesman, Greg Smith; the parliamentary secretary for multicultural affairs, Laurie Ferguson; and Chinese diplomats.
Channel Seven's police reporter, Robert Ovadia, will be master of ceremonies and deliver a eulogy.
The coffins of newsagent Min Lin, his wife Yun Lin (Lillie), her sister Yun Bin (Irene) and the couple's two boys, Henry, 12 and Terry, 9, will be present.
Min and Lillie's daughter, 15-year-old Brenda, who was on a school trip to New Caledonia when the murders occurred, will attend with her aunt, Shu (Kathy) Lin, and her husband, Lian Bin (Robert) Xie, and her grandparents, Yang Fei Lin and Feng Qing Zhu.
Mr Lin and Mrs Zhu are expected to deliver a eulogy.
Afterwards, the bodies will then be taken to Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium for a private service. Irene will be cremated and Min, Lillie, Henry and Terry will be buried..
The family's Epping newsagency was reopened yesterday to raise money for a trust fund for Brenda. Yang Fei Lin helped relief managers run it.
''I feel very lonely," Mr Lin said when asked how it felt to be back at the newsagency for the first time since the murders.
Mr Lin, who does not speak English, had his comments translated by the family's lawyer, Daniel Sheen.
''There are many people who have come to give me help. I'm touched, " Mr Lin said.
Homicide Squad and Eastwood detectives continue to investigate the murders.
