Mrs. Abbie Smith Salomon. 90. widow of Herman F. Salomon of Northbrook Heights, formerly of 69 East Genesee Street died Tuesday. November 29. 1983 at Auburn Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Sempronius. NY. Mrs. Salomon graduated from Cortland Normal School and was an elementary teacher in the Long Island and Auburn School Districts for 22 years retiring in 1962. In Auburn she taught at the Old Genesee Street School and at the former Seymour Street School. Mrs. Salomon was a member of the Professional Women's Club of Auburn. She also was an active member of the Second Baptist Church and Delta Alpha Class.
Surviving are: one daughter. Mrs. Daniel W. (Ruth) Sullivan of Auburn: one son. David A. Salomon of Pittsford, NY; six grandchildren and three great-grand- children..
Funeral services for Mrs. Salomon will take place Thursday at 11 a.m. December 1.1983 in the Second Baptist Church. Rev. John Taylor, the pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Fort Hill Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Langham Funeral Home. 91 East Genesee Street will be from 7 to 9 p. m. Wednesday.
