Ronald was born Jan. 2,1939 in Mooreland,In. to Wilbur and Lora (Brown)Abbott.
Ronald was a member of the First Christian Church in Mooreland. He was a avid NASCAR fan,enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was definitely a "family man" who loved and cherished his family dearly.
Survivors include his loving wife,Erika (Schreiber)Abbott of New Castle;four children, Jeffery Abbott of New Castle,Thomas (Lori)Abbott of Danville,IN,Marian (Even)Lawton,and Cindy Moistner;eight grandchildren;five great-grandchildren with two more on the way;his mother,Lora Abbott;a brother,Donnie Abbott;two sisters,Linda and Penny;several nieces,nephews and cousins.
In addition to his father,he was preceded in death by a brother,Eddie;a nephew,Little Donnie.
Burial was in Mt. Summit Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
