Major C.C. George dies at age 37
Washington July 27 (AP) Major Charles Curtis George, godson of the late General George S Patton and grandson of the late Vice-President Charles Curtis, died today at his summer home on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. He was 37.
George was born here April 12, 1921. He attended Valley Forge Military Academy and graduated from the Military Academy at West Point in 1942.
He served in Europe during World War II and also in Korea. His last assignment was with the Army Aviation Board at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Ill health forced his retirement last November 27.
