Lester H. Moore, 80, of Kaufman died in Kaufman Monday. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in New Church Cemetery in Edge Community with Rev. Clifford Barnett of Wheelock Baptist Church officiating. Hillier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Moore, born in Brazos County, had lived in Brazos County 30 years before moving to Kaufman. He was a retired butcher and had served in the Army during World War II. Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Benson of Kaufman; a brother, Frank Moore of Dallas; two sisters, Velma English of Bryan, Nina Tucker of Tyler; and six grandchildren.
