Mattie was born May 13, 1914, in Edge. She had resided in the area for all of her life and had worked for City National Bank for 36 years before her retirement. She was a member of Edge Church of Christ and was very active in the community. She will be remembered for the love for her family and her amazing pound cakes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. Curtiss; parents, Jesse and Selma Wilson; brothers, Vaugh Robert Wilson, Billie James Wilson and Jesse Gordon Wilson; and one sister, Kathryn Wilson. Survivors include her sisters, Mary Isabelle Ott of Port Richie, Fla., Eva Wilda and Loren Fitzhugh of Edge; five nieces, Kay Lewis, Debbie Landford, Kathy Young, Nora Noel and Billie Schuh; one nephew, Mack Langford; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
